5) Vehicle equipment design conformity standards. Because our tires, lights, glass, exhaust, seatbelts, etc. have to be special snowflakes.

Sweden can into Hellcats, as a private import.
America cannot into these:

Well we still have that idiotic ban in effect, so clearly we do it better than you!

"6. Twenty five year ban on car imports"
This one doesn't bother me at all. There's still plenty of fun stuff out there to choose from.
The 110v household electrical? I still wonder about that.

There's a story about the 110v domestic voltage.
It was realised that it's more economical to have a high voltage supply so many utilities began moving from 100 or so v to 240 or so.
However in America many consumers already had numerous 110v appliances and asking them to replace them all was a non runner. The compromise was to deliver a 220v supply in two phases so you could use one phase for most appliances and both for anything needing a higher grade supply.

You assume that America wants to into those.
It is a wagon and therefore ugly. Also a performance Audi, and that makes it even worse. :p

That's what bugs me. Everyone is all about "efficiency" and "conservation" until it costs them money (without subsidizing).
